📅 Trainers: Mar Cabra & Kim Brice
This series will kick-off with an initial 90-minute webinar. Then, you will have the option to meet-up on a weekly basis with other freelancers in the Assembly to practice together, share experiences and support each other.
Changing habits that no longer serve you is like learning to play a new sport. First, you need to learn a few basic moves, then you have to practice regularly with a coach and other players, and, in between, you take these moves into the game of life, discovering what works and its positive impacts.
Expect lively, practical and participatory sessions. It is not mandatory to join all of them, but it is highly recommended. Taking care of your well-being is not self-indulgence, it is a necessity, especially during this period of disruption and uncertainty.
The sessions will be led by journalist Mar Cabra and resilience trainer and coach Kim Brice. Mar suffered burnout as a result of her work on the Pulitzer Prize-winning investigation Panama Papers. Kim supported her to create more balance in her life and to re-define how she wanted to work on the issues she cares about most. Together, they have been supporting journalists in building and sustaining their capacity to do the work they love in a healthy and sustainable way.
In addition to the webinar and community check-ins, you will also have the opportunity to attend a one-on-one 30-minute session with Kim to receive support specific to your situation and needs.
